Our client is a leading U.S. fashion retailer, offering apparel, footwear, beauty, and home goods. It operates 350+ stores and robust online platforms, combining in-store and digital experiences.

We’re looking for a backend-focused Software Engineer (70% Backend / 30% Frontend) to join a high-impact team.

In this role, you’ll help design, build, and maintain scalable systems that power seamless digital customer experiences. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions while continuously improving engineering practices.

• Design, build, and maintain backend services (REST APIs, event-driven systems, databases, cloud infrastructure)

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and partner teams in an agile environment

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices

• Contribute to system design and technical decision-making

• Support and enhance full-stack features when needed (primarily backend-focused)

• Participate in code reviews and help improve overall code quality

• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize system reliability

• Contribute to monitoring, logging, and observability (metrics, dashboards, alerts)

• Ensure solutions meet security and quality standards

• Strong backend development experience (REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture)

• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals (OOP, design patterns, data modeling, algorithms)

• Experience with at least one backend language (e.g., Go, Java, .NET)

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or similar) and modern infrastructure

• Basic frontend experience (JavaScript, React/TypeScript)

• Experience with CI/CD, testing, and modern development workflows

• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and monitoring tools is a plus

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in collaborative teams
