  • Overview

    We are searching for a self-motivated, adaptable, successful, and experienced country manager in Turkey to help us with expansion of the company. In this role, you will be responsible for the success of our development in Turkey, overseeing all aspects of the business and being the ultimate contact and ambassador for all company departments in location. In order to succeed in this position, you need to be highly driven, have a passion for learning about and engaging with new cultures, and a desire to build a business from the ground up. We see you as a true local leader, a glue for a group of different delivery and admin roles working on different accounts and living in different cities. Outstanding candidates should be able to work without supervision and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.

  • Responsibilities

    • Set up an initial process of company operations and delegate its execution to the Operations/IT department.
    • In collaboration with Operations and IT departments define and build the company location footprint in the respective areas.
    • Oversee all aspects of our operations in-country, and participate in building the most effective team and processes, aligned with the local law and requirements.
    • Select and set up vendors for the functions we decide to outsource (e.g. accounting or benefits providers).
    • Contributing to building and implementing an effective brand strategy and ensuring its consistency.
    • Maintaining a good image of the organization at all times. Constantly monitor our presence in the local media space, and develop the strategy to effectively increase it in collaboration with the marketing team.
    • Monitor the local ecosystem to keep ZoolaTech competitive in the local market.
    • Help us to recruit the very best talent in the local market, building long-term relations with people from the interview stage.
    • Adapt ZoolaTech culture and strategies in the country to be relevant to local specifics without losing its identity.
    • Provide help and guidance for the global ZoolaTech team in communication with local employees and candidates, with relevance to local cultural and laws specifics and employment practices.
    • Conduct town halls/touchpoints with the local team on a regular basis; develop and maintain the belonging of the local team to the global ZoolaTech world.
    • Being responsible for development of an effective set of measures toΒ  prevent/fight attrition on a regular basis.
    • In collaboration with the HR team, actively participate in the center of various HR events, aimed to develop local culture and belonging. Actively participate in local technical communities, conferences and events, and stimulate local technical teams for such participation.
    • Maintain contacts with local universities and other educational institutions, aimed to further develop the company brand, raise awareness among young specialists, and make our contribution to charity in education.
    • Develop and manage a local team of technical experts.
  • We require

    • Master's degree, MBA or other relevant fields, strongly preferred.
    • 7+ years experience in management in an international IT company (as Project / Product / Delivery / Country Manager).
    • 10+ years experience in the IT industry.
    • A good knowledge base of the country, and a willingness to learn.
    • Significant experience in the finance (local accounting and taxation principles) and marketing (company brand promotion) fields strongly preferred.
    • Languages: Turkish - native, English - fluent.
    • Good people-management skills.
