Design, develop, and maintain secure identity, authentication, and authorization solutions, including integrations with Auth0 and Okta.
Design and develop backend services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, REST, and GraphQL.
Design and evolve software architecture within the team’s domain, making independent technical decisions while considering company standards for security, scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Design and maintain asynchronous and event-driven microservice architecture using Amazon Redpanda/Kafka.
Build, deploy, and operate applications in Kubernetes AWS environments, using Terraform for infrastructure management.
Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ensuring reliable and repeatable software delivery.
Monitor production systems using Datadog, investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Engage in strong collaboration with FTE team members, leveraging participation in SCRUM team ceremonies
Take ownership of commitments, priorities, and delivery; proactively identify and communicate risks, dependencies, and blockers.
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Security, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the team’s engineering practices, development processes, architecture, and tooling.
Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript.
Understanding of industry standard authentication and authorization concepts, including OAuth2.1, SAML, OIDC, and JWTs and Access Control Models.
Experience with Kafka or other event-driven/messaging technologies; Amazon MSK Redpanda experience is preferred.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-based application environments.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
Understanding of CI/CD practices and experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and/or Argo CD.
Experience with application monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and observability platforms such as Datadog.
Nice to have
Experience with identity providers or identity/security platforms such as Auth0, Okta, or comparable technologies.
Experience with AWS, particularly IAM, identity/access management, and AWS IAM Identity Center.
Hands-on knowledge of non-relational databases like MongoDB and DocumentDB
Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio
Experience with web development frameworks such as Angular or React
