Zoolatech is looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack to join the team of our client and help build an AI-powered data platform.
You’ll design and develop interactive products that transform enterprise data into dashboards, reports, visualizations, and datasets that AI agents can understand and use. The platform combines complex canvas-based user interfaces, backend services, data-processing workflows, and agentic AI capabilities.
You’ll own solutions across the full stack—from browser rendering and API design to backend services and AI integrations. As a Staff Engineer, you’ll remain hands-on while leading architectural decisions, improving production reliability, establishing technical standards, and mentoring other engineers.
Architect and build AI-powered data products using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Ruby on Rails.
Develop canvas-based interfaces for creating dashboards, reports, charts, and structured datasets.
Build integrations that allow AI agents to discover, interpret, and operate on enterprise data.
Improve computation and evaluation pipelines that run in both browser and server-side environments.
Own features across frontend rendering, APIs, backend services, data workflows, and AI integrations.
Improve production reliability through testing, monitoring, alerting, performance optimization, and incident response.
Lead architectural decisions and technical investments that improve scalability and maintainability.
Establish engineering standards and mentor developers through design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on collaboration.
Partner with product, design, data, and AI teams to translate ambiguous requirements into production-ready solutions.
Apply generative AI and agentic development tools to improve engineering workflows and product capabilities.
8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership on complex production systems.
Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
Backend development experience with Ruby on Rails or a comparable server-side framework.
Experience building complex, data-intensive web applications, such as dashboards, editors, visualization tools, or analytics platforms.
Experience developing production AI-powered applications or integrating software products with LLMs, AI agents, or generative AI services.
Strong API and system-design skills, with the ability to own features from browser rendering through backend services.
Experience improving application performance across browser, API, and server-side processing layers.
Strong testing practices and experience building reliable CI/CD and release workflows.
Production-operations experience, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
Staff-level experience leading architecture, writing design documents, mentoring engineers, and influencing technical decisions across teams.
Experience building canvas-based editors, charting systems, dashboards, or advanced data-visualization interfaces.
Experience with computation graphs or evaluation engines that operate across browser and server environments.
Experience building platforms that make enterprise data accessible to AI agents.
Experience with AI evaluation, prompt management, tool calling, structured outputs, or agent orchestration.
