Todd James is the Founder and CEO of Aurora Insights, an advisory firm helping companies, executive teams, and boards harness artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to create sustainable enterprise value.
A former Kroger executive, Todd was accountable for the company’s enterprise-wide AI strategy and as Chief Data & Technology Officer of 84.51°, Kroger’s retail media and insights subsidiary, he integrated AI into core business decisions, scaled adoption across the enterprise, and drove the monetization of data assets. He previously spent 15 years at Fidelity Investments leading global analytics and business transformation, following earlier work at Deloitte and service as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Valentina Labate is a retail and fashion executive with extensive international experience in merchandising, planning, and business transformation across footwear and apparel.
Throughout her career, she has led strategic growth, performance optimization, and organizational transformation projects for multi-brand retail businesses, combining strong commercial vision with data-driven decision-making and AI innovation. She is passionate about building scalable strategies that connect product, customer experience, and business results.

Dennis Yao Yu is the founder of Sapiera, an AI-enablement practice that helps companies turn AI into internal capabilities getting teams unstuck from pilot purgatory and getting their people to actually adopt the tools. A commercial operator rather than an engineer, Dennis built and runs his own consulting business on a multi-agent AI system he designed himself proof that the hard parts of AI are business problems, not technical ones.
He and his team have taken those learnings to help companies in retail, finance, and private equity in augmenting internal work with AI. He previously led a commercial team at Shopify managing 800+ merchants and $8B+ in GMV, consulted 2 native AI startups with successful exits (Manus AI to Meta, and Warmly to HubSpot).
