What our challenge was
  • Creating a scalable platform that could be easily managed by the editors team clients, who are not technically savvy.
  • Develop a website with a specific focus on mobile readers, including younger alumni.
  • Make content easier to consume and share.
What our solution was
  • Using special tools we got formatted text from html format in which were all the articles.
  • Manually removed the remaining special characters, formatting elements, and broken links.
  • Wrote import and export scripts to move articles to a new CMS.
  • Optimized a CMS to make it work quickly and added special tools for editors.
  • Added a Search and configured it to work correctly.
The outcomes of this project.
  • Successful content migration from previous CMS to a new one (8000 articles)
  • Added custom CMS for articles creation: full-cycle of article workflow automation from initial draft to final approval.
  • Accessibility improvement: made the website suitable for use by everyone, including people with disabilities using Google Lighthouse and other Accessibility Testing Tools
  • Improved and adapted a correct search on the site
  • Added pre-publishing mode. We improved full-cycle workflow automation for the editorial staff, which allows them to save team members time by using the pre-publishing mode, the “send for approval” option, and inline commenting.
  • Inline commenting: editors can add comments within the content of a document directly
  • Performance optimization: We accelerated the loading of the cache, added convenient tools for editors
  • Advanced analytics integration to receive data on the number of users, analyze their behavior and data about the source from where visitors go to the resource
  • We built a robust content management system that allows the team to easily update stories and repromote them on the site, in social channels and in newsletters.
