We’re looking for a Back-End Engineer to join a large-scale digital transformation initiative with a global retail leader. This role is ideal for engineers who bring strong backend and systems integration experience and are excited to work on cloud-native, scalable architectures. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering core capabilities for mission-critical, customer-facing applications, with a focus on backend services, data workflows, and system performance.

• Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL services using Java and Spring Boot

• Contribute to scalable system architecture and component integration strategies

• Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure reliable deployments and monitoring across cloud-native environments

• Support workflow orchestration using tools like Apache Airflow

• Collaborate with frontend and data teams to ensure cohesive system behavior

• Engage in production support and participate in incident resolution during office hours

• Follow clean code principles and contribute to shared engineering standards

• Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and collaborative planning sessions

• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot for backend service development

• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes)

• Familiarity with distributed systems tooling (Kafka, observability tools)

• Strong grasp of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)

• Familiarity with Apache Airflow and DAG-based processing

• Solid understanding of system design, integration patterns, and performance tuning

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Bonus: Familiarity with React and frontend ecosystems
