We are the Partner Integration Platform team. We've built an Enterprise Platform to support Customer's Marketplace, Dropship, and Wholesale business by integrating external 3rd party applications with Nordstrom internal systems. Our internal integration spans across multiple platforms, including Product, Selection, Price, Inventory, Checkout, Ordering, Fulfilment, Reverse Logistics, Supply Chain, Seller payments, and many more. We build out new features and experiences on the Java, SpringBoot, AWS, GCP and Message Streaming technology stacks in an agile, team-oriented, and collaborative environment. We encourage innovation and expect developers to take a high level of ownership throughout the software life cycle.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust automated test frameworks, focusing on efficiency and reusability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and QA, to identify and address software quality challenges.

  • Write, execute, and maintain test cases using Cucumber testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest).

  • Utilize mocks to create and execute automated test scripts for web-based micro-service applications.

  • Analyze test results, debug issues, and drive defect resolution with development teams.

  • Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated tests.

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure coverage of functional, regression, and performance testing.

  • Mentor and guide junior team members in test automation and quality assurance best practices.

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or software testing roles, with a focus on test automation.

  • Strong expertise in Java and Java testing frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, pytest, unittest, or similar).

  • Demonstrated experience with Mock servers for automation and testing.

  • Prior experience in designing and building custom test frameworks is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    Nice-to-have skills:

  • Experience with Amazon AWS/GCP is required.

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Gitlab or GitHub.

  • Knowledge of building tools like Terraform.

  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.

  • Familiarity with cloud environments and testing in a distributed architecture.
