We are seeking a Senior SDET with a strong focus on performance testing of cloud web systems to join a global construction technology platform serving millions of users. This role will be instrumental in designing, executing, and scaling performance and load tests across core systems to ensure a reliable and high-performing experience.
You’ll be working with engineering, DevOps, product, and QA stakeholders across multiple regions. The ideal candidate is analytical, hands-on with testing frameworks, and experienced in system optimization.
Design and develop performance test plans for backend services, APIs, and web applications.
Execute various performance testing types: load, stress, endurance, scalability, and capacity tests.
Analyze results to identify bottlenecks and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines to shift testing left in the development cycle.
Monitor performance baselines and regressions across releases.
Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to simulate real-world traffic and usage scenarios.
Contribute to performance tuning and root cause investigations for production incidents.
6+ years of experience in quality assurance and in automated testing.
Specialization in performance testing for high-scale SaaS environments.
Strong experience with tools such as Locust, JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
Proficiency in scripting using Python (primary scripting language) or other languages like JavaScript, Groovy.
Strong soft skills with experience working within an international and distributed team.
Understanding of system architecture, and experience of working with distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
Experience in planning and leading the initiatives and driving them to execution.
Hands-on experience with monitoring/APM tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or New Relic.
Familiarity with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
Familiarity with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with synthetic test data generation and performance testing in non-production environments.
