As a Java Team Lead, you will lead the design, development, and continuous evolution of scalable backend systems that power critical business capabilities across digital platforms. You will drive technical architecture, guide engineering best practices, and lead a team of backend engineers in building reliable, high-performance, and cloud-native solutions.

This role requires a strong hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices. You will collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable and resilient backend services that support business growth and operational excellence.

ey Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-scale backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

  • Drive the adoption of microservices architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and fault tolerance.

  • Design and implement event-driven solutions leveraging Kafka and asynchronous communication patterns.

  • Own technical decisions related to system performance, reliability, security, and scalability.

  • Lead backend engineering teams through technical mentorship, code reviews, and best practice adoption.

  • Actively contribute to infrastructure, deployment automation, and operational excellence initiatives.

  • Design and optimize cloud-native solutions on AWS.

  • Ensure high system availability through observability, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

  • Define and execute performance, load, and stress testing strategies to validate system scalability and resilience.

  • Drive CI/CD adoption and infrastructure automation practices.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software aligned with business objectives.

  • 10+ years of commercial experience with Java.

  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.

  • Strong experience with AWS services and cloud-native application design.

  • Practical DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, and production support.

  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.

  • Experience with performance engineering, load testing, capacity planning, and system optimization.

  • Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Experience with observability tools, logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing.

  • Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams in agile environments.
