Lead DevOps Engineer

    We're looking for lead DevOps engineer to help us build the team in Kyiv and organise relevant processes in order to act as an independent DevOps unit for Ampush.

  • Responsibilities

    • Key hands-on member of the Tech Operations team who supports scaling our rapidly growing microservices/container-based infrastructure in AWS
    • Identify operational quality concerns and risks across product/solution lifecycle
    • Ensure product/solution's operation state are stable, secure and changes are
    • systematically auditable
    • Improve time to market by streamlining of software delivery through automation, as well
    • as, provisioning, configuring and integrating systems/resources in the cloud
    • 3rd party software upgrades and maintenance on AWS
    • Disaster recovery automation and procedures
    • Monitor, maintain and report on application and infrastructure health
    • Monitor, maintain and report high traffic consumer websites deployed in AWS
    • Deploy code and manage changes to production and development systems
    • Develop tools to automate and verify manual processes
    • Monitor and maintain processes and tools for CD/CI
    • Mentor and lead other DevOps engineers
  • We Require

    • 6+ years of experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • Must have experience with Big data and NoSQL technologies: Cassandra, ElasticSearch
    • and Hadoop/HDFS
    • Must have experience with container (Docker) orchestration tools such as AWS ECS, Kubernetes or Mesos
    • Extensive working knowledge of configuration management and discovery systems: Terraform, Ansible, Consul, Chef, Puppet or equivalent
    • 3+ years of Python or equivalent scripting languages such as Perl
    • Well-equipped to manage a large number of servers using AWS
    • Experience rolling out an automated build, deploy, and test infrastructure (CircleCi or similar)
    • Extensive working knowledge of deploying and supporting websites deployed in AWS (CloudFront, S3 hosting, etc)
    • Ability to define and track appropriate metrics that measure the health of the production environment
